CIVITAS, a leader in developing innovative commercial real estate solutions, announces the addition of Steve Lamar, LEED AP, EMCA. His new role enables him to serve as the CIVITAS team lead for data center development, healthcare facility transactions, construction management, and tenant representation for owner-occupiers in the greater Maryland region, supporting clients in achieving long-term value and operational efficiency. Bringing over 20 years of experience in construction and real estate development, Lamar has deep expertise in technology and biomedical facilities. His experience with some of the largest construction, architecture, engineering and real estate companies in the U.S. gives him a broad range of expertise to deliver valuable client solutions. An early adopter of sustainable construction, he is a LEED-accredited professional and green building advocate who serves with multiple community boards and organizations.

Before joining CIVITAS, Lamar had a background in operations and construction management. He has held real estate leadership positions with Kaiser Permanente (KP), an $80 billion health care organization, and is the founder of Forward Planning Solutions, a leading construction management and development advisor helping technology enterprises achieve revenue-maximizing real estate projects.

He holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Temple University in Philadelphia and graduated from the Ross Program for Real Estate and Development at USC's Lusk Center.
